Quiet revolution was established in 2005 and over the next nine years produced five versions of the original design. Over 200 turbines were produced and installed in various parts of the country, Ireland, and abroad. Their newest model was in the prelaunch stage when it became necessary for the company to be placed into administration.
During this period the Company received several awards and certifications and developed an elegant and innovative vertical axis wind turbine in response to the growing demand for renewable technologies and demonstrating that turbines can be elegant, quiet and a long-term, cost effective solution for generating energy.
This to achieve their stated Aim:
“With energy prices on the rise, there is a need to focus on renewable technologies. Quiet revolutions’s aim is to play a leading global role in the local energy revolution by promoting wind turbine solutions and the role they play in helping combat climate change”.
The administration programme regrettable as it was, came about as a result of diminishing sales during the recession when the management (in hindsight) reacted too slowly and took unwise decisions.
After acquiring the all the IP, Patents, copy rights and registered designs along with the remaining Assets of qr-Quietrevolution (in administration) we (VWT Power Limited trading as Quiet revolution) moved the manufacturing facility from Pembroke Dock to new premises in St Ives Cambridgeshire.
